A short and sweet overview for June with updates on existing forms and some great news regarding our colleagues in Corporate Communications…
First and foremost, a huge well done to our colleagues in Corporate Communications for winning ‘Best Use of Social Media’ in this year’s South West Contact Centre Forum Awards (SWCCF Awards).
The Corporate Communications team work tirelessly to ensure that our forcewide Twitter and Facebook accounts are informative and engaging channels for those in the Avon and Somerset area – a very well deserved award!
Some good news for us: we were runners up in the ‘Business Improvement Category’ at the SWCCF Awards for our work delivering digital services to the public by offering an equal or better alternative to calling the control room.
Send digital evidence to officers
Since going live in January, our ‘Send Evidence to an Officer’ form has allowed officers to ask for and receive digital evidence from the public as part of an active incident or investigation.
Usage of this form has continued to increase, allowing officers to receive larger files that may have been too big to share via email, or via some USB sticks.
Public feedback is also positive:
“It’s fab. It saves me time and effort.”
Report a crime or incident
Our new and updated ‘Report a crime or incident’ form is getting positive feedback from the public, some of which we have shared below:
“Great to have an online option of reporting petty crime. Saves clogging up the important emergency phone lines with less important crime issues. Really good service.”
“Brilliant way of reporting incidents quickly at a convenient time”
“Useful way of reporting a crime that has happened in the past and there is no emergency / current danger.”
“Being able to read through and edit the form where needed before submitting was very helpful. This was so easy to do it will make me more inclined to report other incidences if they should arise.”
